LuliRx Cream (Luliconazole) Uses

LuliRx Cream (Luliconazole) is an imidazol antifungal drug for the treatment of various fungal diseases of the foot caused by fungi Thichophyton rubrum and Epidermophyton floccosum. It is used for treatment such pathology as athlete's foot, jock itch, and ringworm.

The drug was approved by the FDA on the basis of data from 3 studies involving 679 adult patients with foot mycosis (2 studies) and mycosis of large skin folds (1 study). When using luliconazole in patients with mycosis of the feet, the full final clinical and laboratory cure was the main end point by the 4th week after treatment. In the first study, a complete cure was observed in 26% of patients who applied the cream with luliconazole for 2 weeks. In the second study, a complete cure was noted in 14% of patients. In the third study in the treatment of skin fold mycosis, the main end point was a complete clinical and laboratory cure 3 weeks after treatment. One week after the start of therapy, a complete recovery was observed in 21% of patients who applied the cream with luliconazole, and in 4% who applied the cream without luliconazole.
