Xenical

Xenical contains the active ingredient Orlistat. It is prescribed to help people suffering from obesity to lose weight.

Xenical works by reducing fat absorption. By inhibiting gastric and pancreatic lipases, xenical stops triglycerides being broken down in the intestine. Instead of being hydrolized into fatty acids, these are excreted undigested.

Xenical Dosage

The most common dosage of Xenical is a 120mg capsule taken three times daily. EEach tablet should be taken during a meal, or within one hour of completing a meal

Xenical Side Effects

Because of the decreased absorption of fat, more fat will be excreted and this can cause oily stools. By including less fat in your diet, this can be reduced.
