Uses

Hair4U 10% (Minoxidil) is a highly concentrated remedy used to treat hair loss and androgenic alopecia.

It is still unclear which mechanisms cause the effect of stimulating hair growth by melexin.

Possible mechanisms include:

• the effect of one of the metabolites of the drug on potassium-dependent channels of follicular hair cells
• stimulation and extension of the growth phase, preventing the premature start of the resting phase
• Improvement of local microcirculation of the skin and trophism of the hair follicle
• increase the diameter of the hair
• stimulation of restoration from the resting phase to the growth phase

Dosage and Administration

Hair4U 10% (Minoxidil) is used twice a day for a long time.

Hair growth usually begins after 4 months of daily topical application of the solution. After the therapy is canceled, the growth of new hair stops and after 3-4 months it is possible to restore the bald patches in the same places.

Side effects

The use of Hair4U 2% (Minoxidil) may cause side effects in some patients including:

• Hypertrichosis
• Changes in hair texture
• Changes in hair color
• Exfoliation of the skin
• Acne
• Temporary hair loss
• Dry skin
• Rash (including pustular, papular, generalized and macular rash)
• Dermatitis (including contact, allergic, atopic and seborrheic dermatitis)
• Reactions of hypersensitivity (including edema, generalized erythema, generalized itching)
• Headache
• Dizziness
• Depressed mood

Other side effects may occur due to drug absorption into the systemic circulation. When administered locally, about 1.4% of the drug is absorbed through intact skin. After discontinuation of the local administration, 95% of the systemically absorbed minoxidil is excreted by the kidneys for 4 days.

Precautions

Hair4U 10% (Minoxidil) is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes and internal use.

Contraindicated in pregnancy (adequate and strictly controlled studies in humans have not been conducted). At the time of treatment should stop breastfeeding.
